Society for Theriogenology Club 2013

October 3, 2013, the Washington State College of Veterinary Medicine therio club was host to  Cheryl Lopate, MS, DVM, DACT for a lunch lecture and discussion event. Dr. Lopate discussed many interesting cases from private practice. Case topics ranged from small animal, uterine anomalies to large animal equine dystocia. Dr. Lopate entertained questions from students during the presentation and lunch was provided for the students. The lunch was hosted by WSU-CVM SFT-student chapter for members and staff.

Later that same day Dr. Lopate was the speaker at a dinner lecture and discussion event.Dr. Lopate’s   discussion was focused on many topics: benefits of board certification, process of certification, Theriogenology as a career, ethical decisions that are often prompted by clients and closed with a case discussion. Students asked many questions and were interested in her topics and enjoyed the case discussion. WSU-CVM SFT student chapter and WSU-VBMA (Veterinary Business Management Association) both hosted the event and the dinner was provided to all attendees.
